Welcome to Chinguni Hills Lodge & Camp, Liwonde National Park, Malawi
Activities
For those looking for true adventure in the heart of the African Bush, we have the following activities to offer:

Walking Safari
Best done early in the morning, you can go on a walking safari through the African savannah with one of our experienced guides, track the elephants, stalk the buffalo, and get as close to nature as possible.

Canoe Safari
The canoe safaris are best done in the early afternoon, when the hippos and crocs are coming out to play, and bask in the sun. Sit back relax and drink a cold beer, as the paddler takes you through the lagoons and flood plains of the Shire river and our guide shows you the amazing variety of birds.

Drive Walk Excursions
Explore the further reaches of the park on a walk-drive trip. We'll take you into some of the less accessible sectors of Liwonde and search for some of the parks rarities such as the Pel's Fishing Owl and the Palm Nut Vulture.

Night Drive
Although game drives can be done during the day as well, the best time is to try and spot the shy animals of the night on a night drive. All done in an open Safari vehicles, this gives the opportunity to see animals you wouldn't normally see.

Boat Trips
Watch the Elephant bathe and feed at the rivers edge, the hippos relax in the shallows and search for the elusive crocodile hunting the waters of Malawi's largest river - the Shire.
